andyandrewsOn January 21st and 22nd, masterIT, as a charter member, hosted two Lipscomb & Pitts Breakfast Club events at The University of Memphis and Memphis Botanic Garden for over 450 participants. The featured guest and speaker was Andy Andrews, whose combined works have sold millions of copies worldwide.  His best-selling book, The Traveler's Gift: Seven Decisions that Determine Personal Success remained on the New York Times bestseller list for four and a half months and is a stunning story of one man's search for meaning and success in life by traveling back in time and conversing with seven historical figures.  His recent best-seller, The Noticer, takes a more personal glimpse at love, relationships, values, and integrity.

During the evening event, the MILE (Memphis Institute for Leadership Education) Program was featured. The first of its kind in the nation, MILE pairs the best and brightest students from the Fogelman College of Business as protégés with business leaders from the community as mentors. The objective is to give these students the kind of head start to help them develop their careers and personal lives to the best of their potential, and to identify great future leaders for our city and plug them in with great companies to incent them to stay rather than leave.

The tag line of the Lipscomb & Pitts Breakfast Club is, “Powered By Teamwork,” and this event is an example of how the Memphis business community is intentional about just that. For more information, please see: www.lpbreakfastclub.com

Former guest, Peter Sheahan, Australian author, entrepreneur and internationally acclaimed speaker recently wrote of the Breakfast Club’s impact on the Memphis community - http://www.pcma.org/Convene/Issue_Archives/December_2009/Meeting_Opportunity.htm
