We have been hearing a lot of buzz about Apple's iCloud lately, but with all the chatter it can get a little foggy. So here are the basics about the new Apple iCloud. So what is the Apple iCloud? - The Apple iCloud is a cloud based data storage and management platform. What does the iCloud do? - It automatically stores your data in the cloud and shares it effortlessly between all of your devices. - Keeps all of your contacts, calendars, and email constantly updated between your devices. - Includes your Photo Stream: a continuous stream of your most recent 1,000 photos. - Provides an easy way to backup and restore your data (apps, settings, text messages, music, etc.) Is iCloud right for me? - If you have used MobileMe then you will probably love this, because iCloud is a rebranding of MobileMe (with improvements) - Do you have several Apple devices with lots of apps and music from iTunes? If so, then this might be a right fit for you. If you have a PC, that’s ok too because iCloud works with PC's as well. (Supposedly) - If you are a diehard Apple fan, well, you know you are going to love it. |
