Internet Access

As an Internet Service Provider, we provide a connection (T1 or DSL) and monitor connectivity 24 x 7.

masterIT is an ISP (Internet Service Provider). We can provide clients with a connection to the Internet that is affordable, scaled to the client’s needs, and is engineered as part of an overall solution. masterIT will provide end-to-end support during the provisioning process so that the client doesn’t have to worry about calling different numbers to get the connection installed and working. More importantly, masterIT is a single point of contact in the event that there is a support issue related to the connection. This means that masterIT will work to resolve any connectivity issues and to keep the client informed.

Most clients utilize a T1 or a business-class DSL circuit as their method of connecting to the Internet. masterIT can also engineer remote access to the Internet and can work with the client to include this as part of the overall solution. Finally, if a larger circuit is required or are unsure of your needs, please be sure to contact masterIT so that we may assist you in this determination

     

Hosted Exchange

We provide shared contacts, calendars, and instant access to your email from any computer through Microsoft’s Exchange Hosted Solution to remove the hassle and cost of managing your own server.
     

Web and Email Hosting

We provide design, development and hosting of your company web site and provide e-mail hosting for your domain.

masterIT encompasses a wide range of services from truly outsourced managed hosting to simple co-location services. Rather than hosting their own web server or email server on their premises, many masterIT clients are choosing to place these servers at masterIT’s hosting site for maximum security, uptime, speed, and peace of mind.

masterIT actually manages many of our client’s email servers. The client web servers are managed to make sure the server stays up, operates efficiently, and can serve the site well. While masterIT does not actually create or manage the content of the client’s web site, we do have recommended vendors who can work with you to create the look and feel of your web site and to determine the best use for the site.

masterIT provides email setup and configuration for many of our clients. We can help a client determine what level of email is appropriate to meet the client’s needs, whether it is simple POP3 and SMTP or more complex groupware and collaborative computing. In addition, in setting up a client’s email, masterIT will work with the client to cover other aspects related to email including:

  • DNS service
  • Domain consultation and procurement
  • Training and information on set up and use of the email client and how it will work with the chosen level of email (POP3, SMTP, IMAP)

Network Planning, Design and Installation

masterIT has deep experience in working with clients to deliver solutions that provide the best value possible. This means that we take the time to listen, to plan, and to present our recommendation based on our experience and on the client’s needs. Some of the activities included in this category are:

  • Evaluation of existing a client’s existing network and bandwidth
  • Recommendation of a network solution for a client without a network
  • Recommendation of a network solution capable of supporting a client’s stated need
  • Coordination of and responsibility for ordering, provisioning, and support of all necessary components required to build a network solution
  • Redundancy and recovery considerations engineered to support the client’s needs and requirements
  • Backup considerations engineered as part of the overall solution

Network Management and Security

Today’s network environment is risky. It is important to consider how the network, and these inherent risks, will be managed over time and for optimal performance. masterIT will consult with you to investigate acceptable solutions, to propose a solution, and to implement a safe network that works.

Network Trouble Shooting and Repair

There is not much that is more frustrating than having a problem that needs to be fixed and yet the problem continues to plague your company’s network. masterIT can help you with these problems and can work through them to bring your network up to speed.

  • In resolving a problem, masterIT will evaluate all options as we proceed through the physical, network, and application layers.
  • As part of the repair, masterIT will perform a network assessment and recommend a solution to resolve an existing problem.
  • And finally, as part of the repair masterIT will solidify the network assessment and then will optimize the solution to prevent future problems.

Site Assessment, Auditing and Inventory

It’s true that some companies just cannot get a handle on what they have, where it is located, how compatible it is, what needs to be replaced, what can stay and be used, and how it all works together. Even for those with good experience, this can be a daunting task that in itself can be a roadblock to change. masterIT possesses the expertise, knowledge and tools to assist clients in working through as assessment. masterIT will:

  • Complete a thorough analysis of all components that comprise a network solution
  • Record the findings on behalf of the client so that there is a benchmark, a starting point, for beginning to understand what may be required for the future environment.
  • Compile, edit, and present the findings to the client based on the client’s stated need (assess or inventory), and based on what is required to bring the network up to par.

Windows NT, Novell, Linux, and Unix

masterIT possesses expertise with each of these operating systems (O/S). While a majority of clients are probably using a singular O/S, it is very helpful to have experience with other systems. In the instances where an existing network needs consolidated, masterIT can consult with the client to recommend the correct O/S for the best utilization of the network. masterIT will work with the client to discuss each of the following topics:

  • The operating system and its use as understood as per masterIT’s expertise and installation skills.
  • An operating system recommendation based on client requirements as gathered during the consultation, discussion of applications, and other parameters.
  • masterIT will coordinate the installation of the operating system to maximize performance with other applications.
  • masterIT will optimize the operating system installation to ensure maximum performance and uptime in the future.
  • masterIT can provide upgrades from previous versions of an O/S to the most current version of an O/S.

We provide reduced-rate blocks of hours delivered by our MCSE and CCNA certified engineers to repsond to incidents.
